Today we...
1. Completed an Animal Farm review packet and discussed what would be on the test. Your Animal Farm test is THURSDAY! Study! And please remember to bring your Animal Farm novel to class that day.
2. We played a review game.. some of you did very well, others may need to go home and do LOTS of reading!
On Friday, we will be watching the Animal Farm movie in class. IF the entire class gets above a C on the test the day before, I will bring snacks for the class during the movie.

Monday, April 4th
Today we.....
1. The first thing we did was go over our symbolism activity from Friday. We checked our matches and turned in the worksheet, and then went over the fill in answers on the other worksheet from Friday.
2. We discussed fables that we had heard in our lifetime, and then completed a worksheet about fables by Aesop and Ralph Waldo Emmerson.
3. Homework for today is your favorite kind: optional. For up to ten points bonus, you can write your own fable to be turned in tomorrow at the beginning of class.

Thursday, March 31st
Today we watched a video about Joseph Stalin. This video was very informative and showed us that the events that happened on Animal Farm very closely mirrored the Soviet Union. Please pick up a video worksheet if you were absent and get the answers from a classmate. You will need this information tomorrow in class!
Please also bring scissors and glue/tape tomorrow for class!
Thanks!

Tuesday, March 29th
Today we....
1. Checked our vocabulary review
2. Discussed our advertisements. These were very good! It was hard to choose my top three winners from each class, but congratulations to those who won! I hope to have these displayed very soon.
3. We wrote letters from the point of view of Snowball. You are to pretend that you are Snowball and that you are writing a letter to the other animals on the farm, persuading them to do something. You must have three paragraphs and you must use each point of the rhetorical triangle (logos, ethos & pathos).
